1. They really are inseparable and it is clear that they deeply care for each other. Always willing to help the other out, even if their actions will get them into trouble.

2. They've kissed on screen goodness knows how many times, and were actually going out. Yes I have a canon m/m pairing on this list, so what? I also cried at a certain scene in series 3.

3. There is clear chemistry between the two teachers. There were actually several pairings I could have chosen from the earlier era of Doctor Who where I wouldn't have been surprised if they did have feelings for each other, but this was definitely the one that came to mind first.

4. Classic pairing of a sceptic and someone who believes absolutely everything (well apart from in the one ep where their roles are reversed xD). You can see their relationship building up over time on-screen, and of course there is that classic scene in Triangle (Series 6) when Mulder tells Scully he loves her.
